Do You Need University to Learn? [Video]

I’ve felt for a while now that academic institutions are overrated as places to learn. Have a listen to what I have to say and share your thoughts in the comments below.

Side note: I’ve been making videos pretty regularly recently, however  I don’t post all of them here on the blog. If you enjoyed this video and you don’t want to miss out on my videos to come, make sure  you subscribe to me on YouTube.

  • Great thoughts. This video reminded me of a quote from Seth Godin’s blog (http://bit.ly/NNdsO5).

    He says,
“If you don’t have a resume, what do you have? How about three extraordinary letters of recommendation from people the employer knows or respects?
Or a sophisticated project they can see or touch?
Or a reputation that precedes you?
Or a blog that is so compelling and insightful that they have no choice but to follow up?Some say, “well, that’s fine, but I don’t have those.”Yeah, that’s my point. If you don’t have those, why do you think you are remarkable, amazing or just plain spectacular? It sounds to me like if you don’t have those, you’ve been brainwashed into acting like you’re sort of ordinary.Great jobs, world class jobs, jobs people kill for… those jobs don’t get filled by people emailing in resumes. Ever.”
Keep up the good work David, you’re an inspiration.- Michael

    • What a great message. Thank you. You just made my day 😉

I live everyday thinking this, but I’m afraid that I truly find myself I’ll be taking a big risk and letting my parents down.
